Frequently Asked Questions

Who can sign up for supplies?

Anyone who truly needs them. CONCERN, Agape Mission and Mary Martha Outreach determine the final eligibility but the goal is to assist those who have financial or other issues that keep them from affording school supplies.

When and where can I sign up to get supplies?

Check the Calendar for exact timing.  Forms will be available at CONCERN, Agape Mission and Mary Martha Outreach as well as online no later than July 1. Fill out the form and take it to one of these places. Faxed forms will be rejected. Forms must be turned in by the deadline shown on the Calendar.  When you turn in your application, you will receive a stamped cover letter that tells you the details of pick up day.  Keep this cover letter and bring it with you on pick up day.

Where and when do I pick up my supplies?

Check the Calendar for exact timing.  Supplies will be available for pickup at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church a few days before school starts.  Supplies are given out all morning and afternoon.  To avoid waiting, come in the mid-afternoon.

What should I bring with me when I pick my supplies?

You must bring a photo ID.  Additionally, it’s strongly recommended that you bring the cover letter that was stamped when you turned in your application form, just in case your application got misplaced.

What if I can’t pick up my supplies on the pickup day?

On the application, you may specify who may pick up your supplies in your place.  That person must bring a photo ID to pick up the supplies. If you are unable to pickup your supplies on the main Distribution Day, you may come on the following day (a Tuesday) from 9am to noon and from 1pm to 3pm.  Any supplies that are not picked up on that final day are taken to Agape and held for a few days.  Afterwards, the supplies are returned to storage.

What happens if I miss the deadline to turn in my application form?

If you are unable to turn in an application before the deadline, please come to St. Luke’s on the days that we are distributing backpacks.  You will need to fill out an application at that time and we will provide, as our supplies allow, a generic set of supplies, based on grade level.
